Socially Engaged Musician

I am a musician originally from Iran, with years of experience in India and Iran exploring diverse musical traditions. I found the Netherlands to be an inspiring place to express my work and connect with people through music. I love working with communities, creating experiences that bring relaxation, joy, and heightened awareness of the body and mind. I design projects that respond to human needs, helping people experience moments of calm, connection, and happiness. My work includes group singing, such as Raga Singing and Attentive Listening, which I developed at the conservatory and now runs as a project across the Netherlands. I also create music experiences for people with disabilities and refugees, always aiming to make music accessible beyond the stage. During my Master’s in New Audiences and Innovative Practice, I learned how to blend traditional musical knowledge with the tastes and cultural backgrounds of European audiences. This allows me to design innovative music projects that resonate with diverse communities while remaining playful, relaxing, and meaningful. I am very enthusiastic about collaboration and enjoy working in teams with people from diverse backgrounds. I have been flexible in my work so far, and my previous clients have generally been satisfied with my contributions. I am open to new projects and challenges and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. I would love to contribute and develop my work in the northern Netherlands, as I see it as a place with great potential for both practical and professional growth.
